The cache is located at one end of the village High Street on old route of the A4 which continued straight on but was cut off by the construction of the M4.
Theale was an important link between Bath and London (A4) during the stagecoach era, the A4 ran through the middle of the village, nowadays most traffic runs along the bypass.
Today it is a thriving village with a population of about 2500. The village has two distinct areas, separated by the bypass, an area comprising of a business park and a large area of warehouses, on the other side of the bypass is the mainly residential area. Kate Bush & Kim Wilde live in/close to Theale.
EXTREME stealth will be required as the area is very very busy during the day on weekdays but quieter over the weekend or late evening, hence the difficulty has been set to 3. The cache location is not suitable for young children and caution should be exercised with passing cars.
You are looking for a small round container (6cm in diameter, 10cm in height approx.) covered in black tape. Can hold small travelbugs. Please be very careful in replacing the cache so the next person can find it easily!
