MOLHE DE
FELGUEIRAS
Nas proximidades do Castelo
de São João da Foz, no lado oposto ao Cabedelo ergue-se o Farolim
de Felgueiras também conhecido como Farol da Foz. Colocado no topo
do molhe com o mesmo nome, foi construído em 1886. O Farolim tem um
alcance de 12 milhas em transparência média. O molhe é mais antigo
e data de 1790 tendo forma rectangular alongada, o topo do molhe,
onde está o farol, é de forma circular.
Near the Sao Joao da
Foz Castle, on the opposite side
to Cabedelo stands the Felgueiras lighthouse, also known as
the Foz's lighthouse. Placed on top of the pier with the same name,
was built in 1886. The lighthouse has a range of 12 miles on
average transparency. The pier is the oldest date of 1790 and
having elongated rectangular shape, the top of the pier, where the
lighthouse is a circular shape.

Em 2001, é iniciado um
projecto para um novo molhe e em meados de 2004, as obras de
melhoria dos molhes iniciam, com um atraso de dois anos (devido a
estudos ambientais) e uma derrapagem
orçamental...
O objectivo deste novo molhe (em conjunto com o molhe do Cabedelo)
é o de estabilização das margens do rio Douro, nomeadamente do
Cabedelo e das zonas ribeirinhas junto à Foz, assim como melhorar
as condições de navegabilidade e de segurança, em qualquer estado
de maré.
In 2001, it
initiated a project for a new pier in mid-2004, works to improve
the piers start with a delay of two years (due to environmental
studies) and a budgetary slippage ...
The aim of this new pier (in conjunction with the
Cabedelo's pier) is to
stabilize the banks of the Douro River, including the Cabedelo and
riparian areas near the mouth as well as improve the navigability
and safety at any stage of tide.
A CACHE/THE CACHE
Esta cache não está no antigo Molhe de
Felgueiras mas sim no molhe adjacente, isto porque possui melhor
segurança e caracteriza-se por ser um belo miradouro sobre o oceano
e entrada do rio Douro. Tenha atenção aos muggles, observe o estado
das ondas antes de iniciar a deslocação até à cache e circule pelo
lado esquerdo do molhe (lado do rio Douro), isto porque as ondas
têm tendência a arrebentar do lado direito (do lado do antigo
molhe).
This cache is not in the
former Felgueiras pier but in its adjacent one, because it has
better security and is characterized by having a beautiful views
over the ocean and from the entrance of the Douro River. Be
aware of muggles, observe the state of the waves before start
walking to the cache and walk throught the left side of the pier
(part of the River Douro), because the waves tend to break on the
right side (the side of the old pier).
