Geocache Description:

Peter Stuyvesant brought his favorite pear tree from Holland and planted it here, near the corner of Judith St. & Winthrop St., in the orchard on his bowery. It became part of a well known orchard. We placed a micro cache near the memorial to his famous pear tree.

This is a Puzzle Cache only because the cache is not at the listed coordinates.
Do not go to the listed coordinates.
With this Urban Micro cache, we had all sorts of reception problems here. We posted the most reliable coordinates we could come up with, but we are pretty sure the cache is actually 50-70 feet away from these coordinates. When we stood next to the cache, our old etrex, every so often, would say that the listed coordinates were 50 feet West of us, on Winthrop St. That's using Stuyvesant's Grid to orient yourself.

Be careful of the dangerous traffic.
There is no need to stand in the middle of busy city streets!
