Découvrez des vestiges d'un aqueduc romain vieux de 2000 ans !
L'aqueduc du Gier était un des quatre qui alimentaient Lugdunum, capitale des Gaules.
Canal voûté, long de 86km pour un dénivelé de 105m, il comportait 11 tunnels, 30 ponts, 10 murs et files d'arches, 4 siphons avec des tuyaux en plomb et plus de 1000 regards de visites.
Découvrez cette section de l'aqueduc lors d'une balade d'environ 2,4 km (aller-retour) au départ du parking P0 à St Maurice sur Dargoire. Rejoindre le point R1 où vous prendrez une petite rue-sentier qui descend. Le parcours vers l'aqueduc est alors fléché.

In Lyon, discover the remains of a Roman aqueduct dating back 2000 years!
The aqueduct of Gier was one of four that fed Lugdunum, the capital of Gaul.
Vaulted channel, 86km long, difference in height of 105m, it has 11 tunnels, 30 bridges, 10 walls and arches lineups, 4 siphons with lead pipes and more than 1,000 manholes.
Discover this section of the aqueduct during a walk about 2,4 km from the parking lot P0 in St Maurice sur Dargoire. Join the point R1 where you will take a small street-path which goes down. The walk towards the aqueduct is then arrowed.
