The Texas Spirit Quest
is a series of Caches
placed by many individuals, near cemeteries and historic
sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer
ancestors that have ‘walked’ before us.
There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural communities
across
Texas. This series will introduce you to many of them. The
cache
pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries,
tombstones and local lore.
Location: Take I-20 to the Iatan Road
exit, go North 2.9 miles (first road after Iatan Cemetery) (CR #290
-no road #) then go East on county road 2.1 miles. Cemetery sits
off the road in a pasture on the North side and has a fence around
it. This cemetery is a registered cemetery, but is listed as
unknown.
