From Stalter’s Spring continue on the graded portion of the Dunderberg Spiral Railway. At N 41 17.057 W 073 58.502 turn right on an old woods road. These roads were used by the workers to access various portions of the railway. At 41 16.850 W 073 58.667 meet the blue blazed Timp-Torne trail and turn left. This brings you back to the descending loop of the Railway. Nearby is the entrance to the uncompleted tunnel. Riders on the Railway wouldn’t be able to see the tunnel until they were almost on top of it. Then through the darkness they would make a sharp turn and pass it again.
