This is the top of the Dunderberg Spiral Railway and the beginning of the descending loops. Near here would have been the location of the second steam engine, which pulled the cars to the top of the mountain. From here the cars would begin a series of gravity driven downward loops. This would have been an early example of a roller coaster with the cars traveling over a ten mile course back down to the river level.
Cache is a camoed plastic bottle.
