Joenmäki mountain in Harjuranta has a fascinating history. Mountain reaches as high as 174.5 m and a great view all the way to Rantasalmi can be seen from top of it.
On the side of the mountain locates a cave-labyrinth where a man called Peis-Immonen is said to be living for centuries. The main cave is 3-4 metres long, 1 meter high and 2 metres wide. According to the legend Peis-Immonen has also hidden a golden treasure to the cave.
Harjurannassa sijaitsevalla Joenmäellä on mielenkiintoinen historia. Vuori kohoaa 174.5 m korkeuteen ja vuoren huipulta on mahdollista kokea upeat näkymät aina Rantasalmelle saakka.
Vuoren rinteessä sijaitsee luolalabyrintti jossa legendan mukaan mies nimeltä Peis-Immonen kerrotaan asuneen vuosisatojen ajan. Pääluola on 3-4 metriä pitkä ja 1 metriä korkea ja 2 metriä leveä. Legendan mukaan Peis-Immonen olisi kätkenyt luolaan kulta-aarteen.
