An interesting war memorial that sits near the entrance to
"Sterling Mills Outlet Shopping Village". The memorial is built
into a wall directly across from the "Sterling Furniture Warehouse"
entrance. It features a freestone tablet capped with the figure of
a kneeling angel holding a sword adorned with a garland (or it
could be a wreath).
It is dedicated to the memory of eight "Devonvale Mill" workers who
lost their lives in WWII.
Ample free parking is available in the car park (for the
shopping village) behind the memorial.
The road beside the memorial is an extremely busy
one, therefore great care should be taken if you have young
children with you. Stealth will be needed at all times of
day.
A pen/pencil will be needed to sign the log. At the time of
placing the cache the co-ords were accurate to within 5 feet.
Please note: The A908 Alloa/Tillicoultry
Road, Devonside is regulary patroled by a mobile speed camera. The
speed limit is 30mph. A map and image of the camera's location can
