A very, very cool tree
This is a really neat spot but will take a bit of a hike to get there and back. (Almost exactly 5 miles round trip) It's a beautiful walk through redwoods and such along a not terribly steep fireroad. Parking can be had in a large dirt lot at Soquel Demonstration Forest (N 37 04.945 W121 51.156) Perfect for mountain biking (there are a few great single track trails here if you want to make a day of it).
If you do go on a weekday, there have break ins so best to leave valuables at home and keep doors unlocked or windows down. Weekends ususally sees a lot of traffic so not risky.
