Bissone è il villaggio che si trova sul lato sud della diga di
Melide, sulle sponde del lago di Lugano. Si tratta di un
insediamento pittoresco, caratterizzato dalla presenza di case con
splendidi portici che danno proprio sul lago.
La Chiesa parrocchiale di San Carpoforo si trova nella parte sud
del villaggio, a destra del cimitero. Esistono documento sin dalla
metà del XII secolo. Subì differenti trasformazioni nel corso degli
anni, in particolare verso la fine del XVII secolo. Il campanile e,
soprattutto la facciata, hanno subito diverse restaurazioni che
permettono di mantenere il più possibile la bellezza di questo
monumento.
L'interno è caraterizzato da opere pregevoli, tra cui una fonte
battesimale di fine 1400, statue e quadri del XVI e XVII
secolo.
Sul lato destro della chiesa si trova il cimitero, ma alcune
tombe, probabilmente di personaggi che hanno avuto importanza nella
storia della città sono all'esterno dello stesso cimitero e della
chiesa stessa.
Il cache è un piccolo contenitore di plastica, magnetico e si
trova ben nascosto nel parcheggio a sinistra della chiesa. C'è solo
logbook e stashnote, quindi ricordatevi una penna. E' possibile che
la zona possa essere trafficata, quindi fate molta
attenzione!

Bissone is a small village located on the south side of the Melide
dam, on the shores of the Lugano Lake. This is a very picturesque
village with homes whose characteristic arcades are facing the
lake.
The San Carpoforo Church is located on the south side of the
village, on the right side of the cemetery. Are reported documents
about this church since the first half of the XII century. It had
many different changes among the centuries, in particolar towards
the end of the XVII centuty. The bell tower and the facade has been
restored many times in order to keep the beauty of this
monument.
The inside is caracterized by fine works of arts, among them a
baptismal font dated end 1400 and statues and paintings of XVI and
XVII centuries.
On the right side of the church there is the cemetery although a
few tombs, probably of people that are important in the history of
the village, are located outsude the cemetery and on the side of
the church.
The cache is a small plastic container, magnetic, well hidden in
the parking lot that is located on the left side of the church. It
contains the logbook and the stashnot only, so please, bring with
you a pen. It is possible that the area could be crowded by
muggles, so pay extra attention!
