[ENG] Dobele castle ruins



[LAT] Netalu no pilskalna jau 1000 gadus p.m.e. atradusies Dobeles senako iedzivotaju - zemgalu apmetne. Berzes upes labaja krasta, senas pilsetas ieloka bijusi uzcelta zemgalu koka pils. Ta pastavejusi lidz 1289.gadam, kad zemgali atkapjoties to nodedzina. Tas vieta Livonijas ordenis uzcel mura pili. Lidz 1562.gadam Dobeles pils ir garnizona priekšnieka un vienlaikus novada parvaldnieka - komtura - mitne. Kurzemes-Zemgales hercogistes laika pili parrauga vairaki komendanti, pedejais no tiem - kapteinis Kristofs Georgs fon Offenbergs. Pec 1729.gada pils vairs netiek apdzivota. Dobeles pilskalns ar priekšpili un viduslaiku pils ir valsts nozimes arheologijas piemineklis. Livonijas ordena pilsdrupas ir valsts nozimes arhitekturas piemineklis.
[ENG] Not far castle mound 1000 B.C. was the Zemgalians –oldest people of Dobele – settlement. On the right bank of the river Berze was built zemgalians wooden castle. It existed till 1289.,when zemgalians pulled up and burn it down. After Livonia Order built brick castle.Till 1562. Dobele castle is a homeplace of garrison”s chief and the same time region”s superintendant. In the time of Kurzeme- Zemgale dukedom the castle was controlled by some superintendants, the last one-captain Christoff George fon Offenberg. After 1729.castle is not inhabited. Dobele’s castle mound and castle is national memorial –archaelogical monument, so the castle ruins of Livonia Order, too.
