Inspired by the numerous excellent puzzle caches around Cornwall I thought it was time to have one at St. Agnes to celebrate 100 finds. Simply(!) calculate the cache co-ordinates from the story below.
The published co-ordinates are for Churchtown, the old heart of St. Agnes. The cache is NOT at these co-ordinates but is within about a mile from here.
The geocache can be accessed fairly easily from above, but be very careful near mine waste as it can slide! There is a short descent from the main footpath, but there is then a cacher's path that is pretty easy going straight to the geocache. If you see trees or thick undergrowth you are probably approaching the cache from the wrong direction! The cache is a 450 ml klip-lock box.
This one is for geocachers who like using their brain! The satisfaction comes from solving the puzzle, so please don't give anything away in the logs.

The Puzzle...
“I’ve found it” said the frightened voice at the other end of the phone line “but they are closing in on me. I’ve had to hide the box in case they find me with it. I need someone to come and get me.” With that the line went dead.
His camp was located using the signal from his mobile phone, which lay by his side. He had succumbed to the cold during the night. In his hand was a small scrap of paper which had been badly damaged by the rain.
The ink had run but a small section was still legible. It had been hastily scrawled and simply read
“…50180512 WE TURN…”
