We have logged many miles, found many way points and moved many
trackables finding our first 500 caches so we put this multi cache
together with just that in mind. This hike will take you for a tour
of some lesser known trails in Willard Brook State Forest and
surrounding land. You can visit
The Friends of
Willard Brook to learn more about The Willard Brook State
Forest and what they have to offer.
We hope you enjoy this hike as much as we did while setting up
this cache. Most of the trail can be mountain biked but it's not
for the beginner mountain biker. All the way points are very winter
friendly so break out the snow shoes and get off the couch this
winter. You may be tempted to bushwhack but I would recommend
staying on the trail with the exception of wp-6. I would defiantly
bushwhack the last 350'(this is not a difficult bushwhack). I think
it is only fair to warn you there are plenty of wet spots along the
trail and several water crossings. Please wear proper footwear. I
would also pack a lunch or some snacks for there are several
nice spots to stop and take a break ( you will want to do so ).
This cache/hike will take up a good part of the day so please be
prepared for an extensive hike (not a back breaker but it does have
its ups and downs). I pushed the difficulty and the terrain up 1
full point only because of the sheer quantity of things.
While completing this cache you will pass within a reasonable
distance of several other caches in the area. Please don't miss out
on an opportunity to make this a four for the price of one event
(or even better).
Please don't mention the total number of waypoints or miles in
your logs . I would like to leave this up to individual cachers to
discover on their own.
Most of all have fun and be safe, Teslacoil#1 and Son
Congratulations to the Trail Buzzards
and Bugeye 59 for being FTF. Great Job!
