Uranium is of great interest because of its application to nuclear power and nuclear weapons. Uranium contamination is an emotive environmental problem. It is not particularly rare and is more common than beryllium or tungsten for instance. (From www.webelements.com)
I put these three out together (Uranium, Neptunium, and Plutonium) because these three are named after planets discovered at approximately the same time. I know Pluto isn't a planet anymore, but some people, like me, have trouble accepting that. First it is, now it isn't, heh - what will they think of next?
This is just another microcache in the ChemCache series - nothing special about this one - bring your own pen and enjoy a simple cache with no strings attached! You do not have to go on private property for this one at all.
