Cache is to commemorate the Marines that have fought, been injured and died in defense of this country.
Quantico National Cemetery is a cemetery dedicated on May 15, 1983 on land donated to the Veteran's Administration by the Marine Corps. The land has been used by the Navy and Marines for over 200 years.
More information on the cemetery can be found online, however, if you plan to do this cache, you will get to learn more about the cemetery by walking and visiting the monuments on the "Memorial Pathway". Following are some notable burials in the cemetery:
Louis R. Lowery, a World War II Marine combat photographer, took the picture of the first U.S. flag rising on top of Iwo Jima's Mount Suribachi in 1945. The flag was said to be the first U.S. flag flown over Japanese territory in World War II. He was interred on April 1, 1987, Section 1, Gravesite 6422.
General Lewis William Walt, assistant commandant of the Marine Corps from 1968-71, had a career that spanned over 35 years and he served through three major wars. General Walt was awarded two Navy Crosses, one Silver Star, and two Purple Hearts. He was interred on May 11, 2000, in Section 17, Gravesite 51-B.
Colonel William "Rich" Higgins, the chief of a 75-member United National observer group, was captured by a pro-Iranian Shiite Moslem group on Feb. 17, 1988 in Beirut. He was held hostage and killed by his kidnappers on July 6, 1990. A marker was placed in our memorial section until his body was found and returned to the U.S. Colonel Higgins was interred on Dec. 30, 1991, in Section 23, Gravesite 141.

In order to find the final cache site, again, you will have to visit the "Memorial Pathway". The mystery cache coordinates are parking coordinates. The parking etiquette is to NOT park on the grass. Just move to the side of the road, and park ON THE PAVEMENT. As with any cemetery, be respectful of the area, and any ceremonies taking place. Please note: Both the cemetery and the final cache site are only open from dawn to dusk

A. The calendar Day of the later date on the ROI-NAMUR, Marshall Islands Stone
B. The ones digit of the calendar Day of the later date on the IWO JIMA Stone
C. DEDICATED TO THOSE MEN OF THE ________ MARINE DIVISION, FMF WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY
D. The _____ MARINE DIVISION was formed on Guadalcanal in September 1944 and was composed of three infantry regiments: 4th Marines; 22nd Marines; 29th Marines; an artillery regiment; 15th Marines and several units.
E. Locate the latest year on the front side of the "RED" Stone. E is the digit in the tens digit.
F. Presidential Unit Citation was DEDICATED to the Sixth Marine Division in this year, again take the tens digit
The terrain is a "1" at the cemetery. The 2 1/2 is due to the easy bushwhacking, and moderate walk.
Thanks to the PWPA for allowing me to place the final of this cache, which is in Fuller Heights Park. This park does not have a formal entrance, however you can park on the side of the road next to the church on Fuller Heights Drive.
