Geocache Description:

Starting at the W&OD parking lot next to the Ashburn Fire Station, this Wherigo will take you from Ashburn to Leesburg and back along the W&OD trail, a journey of approximately 10 miles. Posted coordinates are for the parking lot, NOT the cache.

You will need a Wherigo capable device in order to complete this cache. More information about Wherigo can be found here: Wherigo Website

To hunt this cache, start by downloading the associated Wherigo cartridge to your device. Once on your device, start at the published coordinates and travel from Location to Location as directed on your device. While intended to be completed by bike, the journey could also be made by horse, inline skate, or even foot. Due to the length of the trip, it's recommended that you bring something to drink and/or eat as there will be no convenient water or food sources on the route.

Remember the Rules-of-the-Trail: Travel on the right; pass on the left; announce your passing; pedestrians have the right-of-way over cyclists, and horses have the right-of-way over everyone!! When you stop on the trail, get as far off the trail as possible so you do not impede other trail users!! The W&OD is a Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) park…it is open dawn to dusk - DO NOT hunt this cache at night.

During the journey you will be asked to complete a number of tasks. While they are not difficult to answer, it is CRITICAL that they be answered correctly. If one or more is incorrect, the location of the final cache will not be revealed and you'll have to start again. If you think the answer to one of the questions is 3, take a closer look.
