We've rated the terrain as 1.5. It's almost 1.0 but as wheelchair users may have difficulty crossing the road we've raised it. If actually coming by train the difficulty would only be rated 1.0
About Claverdon Station :-
Claverdon was one of three intermediate stations on the Stratford-on-Avon Railway. This 9¼ mile single track railway was opened on 9th October 1860 as a nominally independent branch from the Birmingham and Oxford Junction Railway at Hatton. It was operated by the Great Western with broad gauge stock until a connection with the Strafford branch of the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway allowed narrow gauge trains to run through from Worcester in 1863.
In 1883 the Stratford-on-Avon Railway Company was absorbed by the Great Western Railway. By 1938, traffic on the single track section between Bearley and Hatton was sufficiently heavy to justify doubling the track and at the same time a new station was constructed on the opposite side of the road. The new station official opened on 2nd July 1939. Today it is the only station open between Hatton and Statford on Avon.
Don't forget that since this is a micro you'll need to bring your own pen. (There's a small pencil just in case anyone forgets)
Please be careful when retreiving and replacing the cache as if it drops down the gap it will be extremely difficult to retrieve!
Parking for a couple of cars is across the road from the station at N52 16.676 W001 41.818. This road can get quite busy at times so take care when crossing.
