Geocache Description:

The accent of Mt. Zackie Jonah is not for the faint at heart. The trail is well groomed leading to the top but the elevation from the base to the peek is +564ft. The reward for those up for the challenge will be a magnificant view of the valley below and the windmills to the east. However, the last 50 meters will require some bush wacking and the cacher is advised to use extreem caution as the drop is quite steep. Use caution.

The trail head is located at the intersection of Pleasant Vale and Medow Rd. N45 47.919 W65 00.555. There is a metal guard rail marked Y200 in black paint. This is the start. The hike will take approximately 20 minutes to reach the cache. To begin follow the trail as it gradully accends the mountain. The trail is well groomed and the route up is marked with orange marking tape the whole route. As you progress, avoid the first 2 trails that veer left. At the third you can veer left or you can continue on going straight following the orange marking tape until you reach the walking trail that will take you to the top. The walking trail is located at N45 48.256 W65 00.688.
Follow the marked trail (orange tape) to the top. The last 50 meters will require some bush wacking to get you to the cache and the view of the valley bellow. Please use caution. As this is not your typical 'cache and grab' cheese and crackers is recommended for this hike.

As a added bonus, there are a number of trails on the summit for those who wish to continue on walking in the woods. Enjoy!
