DUE TO CONSTRUCTION this cache is not where it started but we hope it can return there once construction is completed. We saw that the information sign had been moved from the site of the Hotel. We stopped and checked and sure enough the cache as still in place at this temporary location. If you have never visited the site of the hotel you will not understand how this cache could have so many favorite points in the current form? If you look at past logs you will see some of the amazing views now we will just have to wait and see what happens to this in the future. The cache is velcroed at the top of the sign, please use stealth.
Normally, this is one of the best views in all of West Virginia.
About the Hotel
This location is famed and has seen lots of famous visitors over the years. All the locals would come here for dinner after Sunday Church. Now it awaits a new beginning. Some day soon it will be bulldozed and from the ruins a new hotel convention center will rise, well that was the plan. As of now that plan is on hold with the economic times we are now facing.
