Geocache Description:

Tanjung Piai, Mainland Asia's southernmost tip. A microcache with just enough space for maybe a coin. Bring your own Pen. Easy access. Stealth required.

This is the southernmost tip of mainland Asia

The cache is located at Tanjung Piai, a cape named after a local fern (Paku Piai Raya, Golden Leather Fern, Acrostichum aureum) found in abundance in the mangrove forest at the cape.

Getting there

The nearby fishing village of Kukup(popular among tourists from Malaysia and Singapore both for its seafood restaurants) can be reached either by car or public transport (regular taxi service from Pontian bus station). Tour operators also offer daytrips to Kukup and possibly the Tanjung Piai itself.

Access Location and Times

This cache is located inside The Tanjung Piai Johor National Park. There is a small fee for parking and for access.

Park hours are from 8am to 7pm with last entry at 6.30pm, so plan accordingly. In any way, the park would likely not be interesting after dark (which in this latitude falls quite quickly at around 720pm
