Pleasant Riverside walk along a Public FP, which forms part of the Spalding Leisure Wheel Trail
Fairly buggy-friendly walk along the Bank of the Coronation Channel, opened in 1953 as part of the Spalding Flood Relief Scheme.
The Cache can be approached from two directions:
The shorter walk is accessible from the B1173 Cowbit Road.
A longer walk can be made by parking at the ‘Pay & Display’ Car Park at the Springfield’s Outlet Centre and Gardens. You can then follow the ‘Leisure Wheel Trail’ signs along the Coronation Channel; more info. may be obtained from www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/countryside.
Whilst in the Cache area you could visit the Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens, situated nearer to the Town on the B1173. For more info. visit the web site: www.ayscoughfee.org .
The Cache itself is located close to the footpath, with a slight downward incline to reach your goal. It is a small lock & lock rectangular plastic box. When set it contained a FTF Certificate and Button Badge, log book and pencil, and an activated TB. There was also small items to swap.
Whilst visiting Spalding why not check out our other Cache at GC1H2BA - Welland Wander
For the benefit of future Cachers, it would be appreciated if retrieved TB's or Geocoins could be replaced by a similar item. Many thanks.
FTF!!! Congratulations to tiggersabout.
