So you think these FTF Hound and FTFHA caches have been tough?
Difficult? Annoying? You ain't seen nothing yet.
In a recent GONIL discussion, some FTFer's told me they
purposefully delayed logging their finds just so the cache didn't
go forgotten until the next weekend, or even until warmer climes
come around. Meanwhile all of us FTF hounds abandon our lives and
families and rush out in out pajama bottoms only to find that we
were the third, fourth or fifth to find a cache! That's just not
fair. We’ve decided to alleviate that concern.
So the title says it all - This one's all about us. In the just
under three years combined we've been caching, we’ve caught the ftf
bug and gotten over 100 under our belts thus far. What better way
to ensure future visits than to place the clues for the coordinates
for this cache in those other caches? Well that's what we've done.
Over on the right, you'll see our bookmark lists called "My FTFs".
There's your shopping list folks. Somewhere hidden among those 100+
FTFs of ours are the coordinates to this cache. Just for fun, we've
included all 10 digts, 0-9 with a corresponding letter. Nice of us
don't you think? Might want to write all of them down and keep them
with you. This way each cache we've FTF'ed will have many more
visitors...
When you log each cache, please do not mention that you found a
hint in there. What fun would that be? We'd also rather you not
share your discoveries with anyone else. Just to keep it fair.
Also, to keep you honest, we'll be moving them from time to
time. You didn't think this was going to be easy did you? This here
cache is for the REAL FTF hounds. Serious inquiries only. Shoppers
need not apply.
AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!
After going around to all these caches and finding these things,
calculating the final and actually getting to GZ - ANOTHER Surprise
awaits you. Wouldn't multiple trips just suck even more?? Be
Prepared. With what you may ask?
You MAY ask....but we ain't telling!
Here's the good news - first of all, the posted coordinates are
within a mile of the cache. So, go ahead - brute force it. If you
can, more power to ya.
Also, after the first finder, we'll be dropping hints to where
the clues for the cache are. We might even tell you where/when we
do it. Kinda depends on how nice our wives are that day, whether or
not the Cubs win, and how bad work was.
Of course, you may just want to sit back and wait for those
gimme's. You could. But are you big enough to admit you're going to
do it that way? If you are, post a note that says simply "I'm not
hound enough".
One last thing. It would benefit you greatly to keep this cache
on your watchlist. You never know what notes might get posted here.
It's all so very exciting.
In summary - this cache will probably make you crazy. It'll
probably make you dislike or even hate us. That's what makes it so
FUN! This is going to be a journey. You'll shed blood, sweat, and
tears and have a true 5/5 to your name when you're done.
To find the cache, Locate all 10 clues and calculate.
N42 (x1)(x2).(x3)(x4)(x5)
W087 (y1)(y2).(y3)(y4)(y5)
x1 = (B/G)-L
x2 = Q-(M+G)
x3 = E-F+(R/G)
x4 = (G+S)*K+E
x5 = (((B*G)-G)/S)+F
y1 = L+G
y2 = Q-B
y3 = (B/L)+(L*K)
y4 = (Q to the power of K)+F
y5 = (((G*B)/2)+E)-(G+L)
If you do happen to be the First to Find of this cache, then it
will then be your responsibility to place a subsequent cache in
this series (i.e.: #2 FTFHA, etc.), being careful to maintain a
similar difficulty rating so as to thwart the usual FTF'rs in
effort that they too may find the cure.
A few ground rules for subsequent caches:
1. Any cache size and type are allowed.
2. The terrain level may vary but please try and keep this as a
minimum difficulty 3 (the higher the better).
3. Please keep your hides within the 9 County GONIL area.
4. Please place the new cache within 30 days of your find in
order to maintain you First to Find Bragging Rights to this cache
(Obviously we have no way of making this a requirement, we would
just like to see the series continue to be expanded).
5. Most importantly have fun!
Please be sure to visit

the series.
