Permission to place this cache has been given by the property
owner and by the Bennington School No. 4 Board of Directors. Enjoy
this historic site!
To find this cache, you'll have to pass your lessons in each of
the three R's - Reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic. Use the clues you
gather in Reading and 'riting to determine the coordinates. The
calculation you do in 'rithmetic will give you the combination to
the lock on the cache. The cache is in a fairly large plastic
container covered in camo tape. There's a Science Magnet set for
the FTF prize and some other school-related trinkets. Please be
sure to lock and seal everything back up when you're done.
"Students, do your homework before attempting to find the
cache. Class is now in session!"
Reading (and a little logic)
A butcher goes to the market with $100 cash. He has to buy
exactly 100 animals. There are cows, geese and chickens for sale. A
cow costs $15, a goose is $1 and a chicken costs $0.25. He has to
buy at least one of each animal and has to spend all his money.
What does the butcher buy? Use the number of chickens -
10 as the values for XX in the coordinates below.
