Introducing Akuna Port – the first meet and greet event in
the Hastings District since John Oxley explored the place 190 years
ago. Here is your chance to catch up with other geocachers from the
region and of course for anyone else who is passing by this
wonderland that the CSIRO claims has the best weather in Australia!
There are now nearly 100 caches within an 80km radius (or should
that be a semi circle?) of Port Macquarie, which makes this town
and surrounding area a busy and interesting place caching wise.
There is also now quite a strong local caching community with
coldzero308, Curious Kitten, Fang Shaw, Graham Cookie, outdoorbloke
and sonisback amongst others being quite active in finding and
placing caches. So come along and let’s have some fun for a few
hours at what promises to be an entertaining event.
Date: Saturday 1 November, 2008
Time: 2.00pm to 5.00pm
Venue: 22/6 Akuna, Joffre St.
Phone: 0411-257-505 (p-pprass) or 0409-132-364 (c-pprass)
Bring along what you would like to drink and some snacks. We
will supply the venue, tea, coffee and biscuits.
We are really looking forward to this opportunity to meet the
local caching community - and anyone else that may be passing
by.
