LavaLizard: This cache came to my attention due to maintenance issues with the cache. But that is not why the cache is being archived. Rather the cache is being archived due to its proximity to John Muir Elementary School.
Groundspeak does not publish caches in close proximity to primary or secondary schools. Most school administrators, parents and other adults become concerned for the safety of the students when they see someone who looks out of place on or near school property. Even if the cache is not actually on school property, those seeking the cache may attract attention from parents or law enforcement.

As a general rule of thumb, if a cacher can be seen from the school, it is probably too close unless there are mitigating circumstances. Even if a cacher cannot be seen, if the cache is within 200 feet of the school, it is likely too close.
If the cache owner addresses the issues that caused this cache to be archived, it may be possible to unarchive the cache.
