This geocache is located on our property (28 Henley Street)and is an easy find that is next to the fence by the driveway.
'Screeching-In' someone visiting Newfoundland for the first time is a longtime custom of many older bars in Newfoundland, in which the person is to drink a shot glass filled with Screech, kiss a codfish on the mouth, and recite the phrase "long may your big jib draw" amongst other quotes. Sometimes they have to do all of this while standing with their feet in a bucket of icy salt water. After all of this they receive an official 'Screechers' certificate.
Any travel bugs that visit this cache are going to be screeched-in and they will receive their personalized certificate. Because an overnight stay for every TB screech-in is mandatory, only TBs with their certificate should be taken to continue their trip on the Rock.
The cache can hold some large TBs... if an extra-large TB needs to be dropped off, feel free to contact us, as we believe that every TB should be allowed to have a good time. If a TB starts to lounge around for too long we kick the bums out and place them in other caches.
