Quantos de vós já não disseram, pensaram ou escreveram: “local que nunca conheceria se não fosse o geocaching!”?

Pois bem, parece-me ser razão suficiente para nesta terrinha colocar uma cache e levá-la a ser (re )conhecida por muitos mais habitantes do Planeta Azul!!!

Fajozes pertence ao concelho de Vila do Conde, tem uma área aproximada de 700ha e dista cerca de 4,5km da sede do concelho.

A história da freguesia remonta à época anterior à fundação da nacionalidade, sendo que o documento mais antigo que se conhece referente à freguesia de S. Pedro de Fajozes é do ano de 1069 e cita a venda efectuada por três presbíteros do Mosteiro de Macieira a Vermundo Gonçalves de uma leira no lugar de Tourão.

É terra com tradição de boa agricultura e abastados lavradores, possui unidades industriais e estabelecimentos de comércio, antigos e modernos. Nas últimas décadas ganhou uma nova paisagem de características urbanas, que convive com o seu cunho ainda marcadamente rural.

A cache:

Para alcançarem a cache final têm de se deslocar a três dos locais mais emblemáticos desta freguesia: o Cruzeiro, a Escola Cantina e a Quinta das Alfaias (turismo rural), onde recolherão alguns elementos que permitem completar as coordenadas finais recorrendo à tabela abaixo.

How many of you already have said, thought or wrote: “a place that I would never know if it wasn’t for geocaching!”?

Well, it seems to me that is reason enough to put a cache in this little village, in order to make her more recognisable by many more inhabitants of the Blue Planet!!!

Fajozes belongs to Vila do Conde municipality and is far from it about 4,5km. It has an area of more or less 700ha.

Its history goes beyond the nationality foundation, as the oldest document known referring St. Peter of Fajozes has date of 1069 and notes the sale of a piece of land done by members of a nearby monastery to Vermudo Gonçalves.

The village has long tradition in agriculture, even though nowadays has industrial unities and commerce houses. In the last decades it has gained a new landscape with urban characteristics but coexisting with the rural areas.

The cache:

In order to get the final cache you have to go to three of the most emblematic spots of the village: the Cruise, the School and Alfaias Farm (rural tourism house), where you can collect some elements that will allow completing the final coordinates by using the table bellow.
