Geocache Description:

A quick short walk in a flat grassy area to find a small decon box. Should be fun with kids. Parking available at the general store on Rt 219.

Background:
We are hiding this cache at a place we often stop on the way to or from Snowshoe Mountain. The property has been owned by the same family for 8 generations. The surrounding farm has recently been saved from an eminent domain attempt to claim the land for a sewer treatment plant. The Sharp's General Store, which has been in operation for over a century, contains a free museum with displays of artifacts related to the history of both the family and the area, including some very interesting civil war relics. Also on the property are a fun covered bridge and a barn that will make you do a double take.
The cache is hidden outside...no need to enter any buildings to find it. This is private property, so please use good judgement about visiting during considerate daylight hours.
