Le site s’étend sur soixante-cinq hectares environ au bord du Loir et comprend un ensemble de roselières, bois alluviaux et prairies humides parcourus par un réseau de canaux
Un cheminement de deux heures autour du marais permet une agréable découverte
Un parcours sur caillebotis entre les roseaux permet d’accéder aux postes d’observation.
On compte près de 150 espèces d’oiseaux : hérons cendré et pourpré, marouette ponctuée, pie-grièche écorcheur, torcol fourmilier, mésange boréale, bruant des Roseaux…
Concernant la flore, quatre espèces protégées sont présentes, on aperçoit notamment la Renoncule langue, la Stellaire des Marais, le Jonc à deux tranchants ou encore la Germandrée d’eau.
Un petit troupeau de chevaux « Konik Polski » par sa présence participe à l’entretien du marais.

English The marshes of Cré-sur-Loir, a nature reserve.
The aera is approximately sixty-five hectares beside the Loir. It offers various milieux : reeds’ areas, alluvial sediment woods, damp meadows and mesophiles which are covered by a network of canals
A two-hour tour around the marshes gives a nice discovery
A duckboards circuit between the reeds leads to the observation posts
One hundred and fifty bird species can be seen : grey and purple heron (Ardea cinerea and purpurea), spotted crake (Porzana porzana), red-backed shrike (Lanius collurio), eurasian wryneck (Jynx torquilla),willow tit (Poecile montanus), reed bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus) ...
Concerning the flora, three protected species are represented. Especially the visitors can examine the Ranunculus Lingua, the Ranunculus ophioglossifolius, the Stella palustris Retz, the Juncus anceps Laharpe and the Teucrium scordium.
A little herd of horses "Konik Polski" helps maintaining the marshes by being there.
