This traditional cache will take you to the first weir in Prague in the direction of the flow, which is located in Modřany. Thanks to the immediate vicinity of the bike path, it is suitable for catching by bike or in-line skates.
Jez byl vybudován v letech 1978 – 1984 a je součástí Modřanského zdymadla. Důvodem jeho stavby bylo zkvalitnění plavby v Komořanské a Modřanské úžině a zajištění provozu přístavu Radotín.
The weir was built between 1978 and 1984 and is part of the Modřany lock. The reason for its construction was to improve the quality of navigation in the Komořanská and Modřanská straits and to ensure the operation of the port of Radotín.
Jez je 81 m dlouhý, plocha zdrže je 74,2 ha a objem zadržené vody činí 1 729 440 m3. Vytváří rozdíl hladin 2,4 m. Při pravém břehu na jez navazuje plavební komora. Je zde také umístěna vodní elektrárna se třemi Kaplanovými přímoproudými kolenovými turbínami. Hltnost každé turbíny je 30 m3/s a výkon 1,62 MW.
The weir is 81 m long, the area of the reservoir is 74.2 ha and the volume of retained water is 1,729,440 m3. It creates a level difference of 2.4 m. At the right bank, the weir is connected to the lock chamber. There is also a hydroelectric power plant with three Kaplan direct current elbow turbines. The density of each turbine is 30 m3 / s and the output is 1.62 MW.

Po cyklostezce z Braníka nebo z opačného směru ze Zbraslavi.

Případně vlakem do zastávky Modřany.

Samozřejme lze použít i automobil nebo přijít pěšky.

Je možná i mokrá cesta (lodí nebo plavecky). Vodáci ocení retardérku u levého břehu.
Keška je kousek od cyklostezky a dětského hřiště, buďte proto velmi obezřetní obzvlášť v letních měsících. Pokud tu bude zamudleno, nehoňte se za každou cenu za bodíkem a odlov odložte radši na později.
Protože mě už nebaví pořád doplňovat psací potřeby, mějte tužku nebo nějaké to psadlo radši sebou.
Dejte také velký POZOR na projíždějící auta a NECHOĎTE NA KOLEJE !!!

The cache is a short walk from the bike path and playground, so be very careful, especially in the summer months. If it gets tangled up here, don't hunt for a point at all costs and put the catch aside for later.
Since I'm tired of constantly adding stationery, have a pencil or some kind of writing stick with you.
Also pay close attention to passing cars and DO NOT GO ON THE RAILS !!!
