With this cache, we’d like to show you two sights of Csömör.
1, The memorial of the victims of communism, and the 1956 revolution in Hungary.

The memorial consists of two parts.
a., An arch-shaped stone-work which commemorates the 100 million victims of communism on four continents. The rosetta-points within the contour of the continents represent the countries where the most people were victimized by communism.
b., A limestone monument with a leaning cross and with a holed flag made of stainless steel that commemorates the 1956 uprising against the communist regime. The holed flag is the the best known symbol of the 1956 revolution.
2. Calvary

This recently hallowed Calvary has been erected on the Calvary Hill, where most of the remains of the medieval Csömör has been found.
How to get there:
By car: if you arrive on the main road from Budapest, turn right at the cemetery and you will find the cache within 100m
By commuters’ train (HÉV): 3 minutes walk from the Csömör terminal
The cache (with the password) is hidden at the foot of crownless locust tree 50 meters from the calvary.

Ezzel a ládával Csömör két nevezetességét szeretnénk bemutatni,
1, A kommunizmus áldozatainak és az 1956-os forradalomnak az emlékmuve,
Az emlékmu két részbol áll:
a. Egy ívelt kofal, amely a 4 kontinens 100 millió áldozatának állít emléket. A kontinensek kontúrjában látható rozettapontok azokat az országokat jelképezik, amelyekben a kommunizmus a legtöbb áldozatát szedte.
b. A mészkobol készült emlékmu a ferde kereszttel és a rozsdamentes acélból készült lyukas zászlóval az 1956-os kommunista rezsim elleni felkelésnek állít emléket. A lyukas zászló az 1956-os forradalom legismertebb szimbóluma.
2. Kálvária
Ez a nemrég felszentelt keresztút azon a Kálvária-dombon áll, amelyen Csömör középkori maradványait találták meg.
