YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE IF THE RIVER IS FLOWING TOO FAST TO CROSS SAFELY.
If you are making your way around the Fox Tor mire, at its notheastern end you need to cross the River Swincombe at some point. This cache is placed near the mire on the south bank of the river above a place suitable for getting across the river dry shod in gentle conditions.
REMEMBER, WALKING ON DARTMOOR CAN BE DANGEROUS. YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE IF THE RIVER IS FLOWING TOO FAST TO CROSS THE RIVER SAFELY.
