We are in the mountain massif
Piatra
Craiului (which roughly translates into "Rock of the King"),
which is a ridge of limestone of 25km lenght, offering spectacular
views and challenging and rewarding trails.
Curmatura chalet (1470m elevation - see waypoint below) is just
10 min away. The closest city is Zarnesti (720m elevation), and the
hike via the shortest trail to the area takes arround 3 hours.
There is also an area for camping right in front of the chalet.
Container is small plastic box and the initial content is: a
logbook, a pen, a map of the Bucegi mountains (neigbouring
mountains to the Piatra Craiului mountains where is cache is
placed), a set of 4 AA batteries, a set of 4 AAA batteries, a set
of six candles, a set of skin patches and a set of colored
balloons.
