A Day
on the Lake
Welcome to Rimrock Lake and a simple 5-star cache that will
provide plenty of views of wilderness all around. We have been
wanting to get out on this lake since we have started coming here
and the perfect weekend and warm temperatures were the calling that
we needed to get out here. After scouring in and around the lake
for a kayak, we headed out from Silver Beach in search of a fun
island to hang out and enjoy the scenery around us. After circling
a few islands, we finally found the one that would do the trick.
The island even has a nice flat spot for a tent as well as a good
fire ring and at the time of the cache placement, a few pieces of
cut firewood. After exploring the island, which consists of 3 rock
peaklets connected by sandy spits, we found a spot that we thought
would last the activity that these islands see. The cache is an
ammo can, which should be in a pretty easy and logical cache
location, very near a Cougar mark, WSU that is (I thought a certain
MMM might enjoy that).
