Geocache Description:

The edge of the world

Beautifull place in Lithuania southwest called Vente horn (Vente cape).

Vente Cape (Lithuanian: Ventes ragas; sometimes referred to as Vente Horn or Vente Peninsula) is a headland in Nemunas Delta, located in Šilute district, Lithuania. It is known as a rest place for many birds during their migrations, particularly the autumn migration. One of the first bird ringing stations in Europe, still in operation, was opened here by Tadas Ivanauskas in 1929.

You can find there big bird traps, the lighthouse, museum and a landing-stage. You are able to go inside the lighthouse and climb on the top of it, but at the time the cache was hidden, the lighthouse was closed for renovation. But maybe on your visit it will be open :)

On a clear day you can see the other side of Curonian Lagoon, and find there cities Nida and Juodkrante.

The cache is a small plastic container wrapped in a trashbag. It has logbook, pencil, tunisian coin, mexx parfume tester and necklase inside.
