GCQZEP Vaulted Arch Bridge took you to one of three masonry
vaulted arch bridges in Winston-Salem. Spanning Time takes you to
another masonry vaulted arch bridge just north of Old Salem. These
are some of the oldest surviving bridges in the state and date back
to the 1880’s. The bridges are public-works projects from the
Salem Town period, before the towns of Salem and Winston were
merged in 1913.
The cache is a magnetic key holder. You do not need to look in
the rocks, play in traffic, or disturb anything to find the cache.
When you get to 1880, you’re about 30’ away.
