Geocache Description:

Welcome to "The Other Duck Nest with the Silly Rules." You will come to a road-side pull-off at the start of what may once have been a road, within mere feet of the cache, along CR 92.

I had noticed an increasing number of these silly-rule caches popping up lately, including one called “The Silly Rule Cache.” So, to coincide with my “Meet n Greet n Eat n Play High-Tech Hide n Seek” event in September 2007, I thought I needed to place one of my own. Alas, in April 2008, that cache was destroyed by logging operations, so here is a replacement of sorts. The old was in Jefferson County’s Washington Park, this new one is about 3-4 miles away at the very corner of New York’s Winona State Forest.

With my silly-rules caches, I decided to go overboard, and thus this cache has a handful of silly rules. The first rule is that no one may know all of the rules until he/she has found the container, and read them from the bright pink laminated paper inside. Finders are hereby sworn to secrecy! I will recommend that you take a camera, since one of the rules requires you to post a photo (I just won’t say of what yet) and also a notebook to copy the rules so you’ll remember them when you do your online log. Later finders may be able to guess the gist of some of the rules by reading the other logs, or maybe I just want you to think that you can. Enjoy!

As of March 2009, additional logging requirements (ALR's) are no longer allowed in caches. I'm guessing that others besides ScouterDuck thought they were silly too! Therefore, you can just sign the log to get credit for finding this cache. All the other silly things you are asked to do are just for fun and totally optional.
