Lahdessa on aina järjestetty erinomaiset kisat ja ottelut. Ja tullaan tulevaisuudessakin järjestämään, vaikkei kilpailuissa olisi yhtään suomalaista hiihtäjää, kuten talkooväki totesi vuoden 2001 dopingskandaalin jälkeen. Väkevämpää miestähän et tapaa kuin poika Hämeen maan, kun hän ottaa jotain tehdäkseen. Tosin et kyllä hitaampaakaan, jos hänen päähänsä on pistänyt olla mitään tekemättä.
Täällä on opetelleet hyppäämään seudun omat mestarit Janne Ahonen, Toni Nieminen, Jari Puikkonen, Veikko Kankkonen. Hiihtäjä Äitee Rantanen sivakoi näitä latuja. Finlandia hiihtäjät laskevat maaliin tänne.
Iso hyppyrimäki valmistui 1972, uudistettiin 1998 HS 130 mäeksi. Mäkiennätys 138 m Johann Andre Forfang Norja MM Lahti 2017 joukkuemäki 4.3.2017.
Urheilukeskus sijaitsee keskellä kauneinta luontoa. Suurmäki toimii kesäisin näkötornina. Alueella on myös maauimala ja hiihtomuseo, jossa voit kokeilla mäkihyppyä simulaattorissa.

Lahti hosted the first World Championships in skiing as early as the 1920s. The annual Lahti Ski Games together with six World Championships in the Nordic events have given Lahti Sports Center a reputation that is known all over the world.

Janne Ahonen, Toni Nieminen, Jari Puikkonen, Veikko Kankkonen are from this area and have trained their jump here. Do you know Siiri Rantanen, Äitee? Okei, you could visit the Ski Museum! It is located in the Lahti Sports Centre at the foot of the three magnificent ski jumps. In Ski Museum you can jump on Ski Jump simulator. Try it!
In the summertime, the Sports Centre becomes a top arena of football and a centre of track and field sports as well as a summer sports centre.
Sports Centre and the surroundings offer wonderful exercising opportunities for sports associations, exercisers, trade fair guests, top athletes, families with children, climbers... It makes no difference what kind of sports you like: the Lahti Sports Centre is a truly versatile exercising arena. Naturally beautiful, with all modern conveniences, in the heart of the city and its services.
