Geocache Description:

At Teotihuacan just a short drive north of Mexico City you can visit a city that was ancient when the Aztecs found it.

The Pyramid of the Sun was given its name by the Aztecs because between the appearance of the Pleiades (the seven sisters) on the eastern horizon the sun passes along the central staircase. No one knows which god was worshiped here. You can visit this great ancient city that has been skillfully reconstructed for a small fee. I believe it was 150 pesos per person. Be sure to visit the Pyramid of the Moon and the Palace of Quetzalcoatl and don't miss the museum which has spectacular displays and a very large model of the entire city.

This is a virtual cache so there is nothing hidden at this site. At the top of the Pyramid of the Sun is a brass marker. The marker has some writing on it that is rather odd.

I'm seeing two types of Geocachers hitting this cache, those that are out having fun finding these caches and those that are just trying to rack up the highest number of caches. Since people have posted pictures of the marker, I'm going to have to change how the cache is acknowledged. Send me a picture of yourself at the site and you can claim the cache. Other posts will be deleted.
