A fun little cache with a funny name for those of you who enjoy
riddles or the “advanced” functions of your GPS. The name is a
reference to how I like to think of this type of hide. As a
Letterbox-Hybrid, this cache is listed on both the
Letterboxing North America website (LbNA #40990) and
geocaching.com websites. Below you will find both the letterboxing
clues and a geocachers slant; both will lead you to the cache. Take
your pick or use both!
Letterbox clues:
The treasure you seek is not in the flowers,
nor is attached to any of the towers.
When from the lot the park sign you see,
you will be on your way to finding the key.
In the park there is another,
exactly like the first but undercover.
Find and face this twin of the first,
flanked by a set of towering twin firs.
Search high and low in the more "liberal" of the two,
and victory and joy will come to you.
For the more electronically-inclined searchers:
Go to the posted coordinates and project a waypoint at a bearing of
36º (true) and distance of 0.13 miles.
The cache itself is a small lock’n’lock container with small
trade items and a $1 FTF prize (swing and a miss for a lottery
ticket at the gas station along the way). PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE
STAMP AS A TRADE ITEM – IT IS THERE FOR THE LETTERBOXERS!!!! Enjoy
the hunt and consider making this a part of adding some
spice to your life! Shameless plug...
