A Rocky Start Traditional Cache
starsandskies: Looks like after 8 years it's time to retire this cache. Considering the location and the weather it endured, it was a good run!

A rock filled geocache, just off the Mount Lemmon Trail
This is my first placed geocache, and I decided to make it rock themed. You'll find it on a rocky vista, overlooking the Wilderness of Rocks and the cache is filled with... you guessed it... rocks!
The Mount Lemmon Trail will get you to within 100 yards of the cache. From there you may find one or two small paths heading towards the overlook, but you can easily pick your own path as well.
For the really adventurous, there is a rocky outcropping just south and of this overlook that can be climbed. While the view from the cache is impressive, from the peak of the outcropping the experience is truly unique.
The cache is a tupperware container with pen&log as well as several rocks I've come across hiking in the Catalinas, some polished quartz rocks and a piece of geode.
This cache is best accessed between May and September.
