The cache is hidden in the grounds of the Sunnyside Park Hotel. The security guards at the entrance normally do not ask the reason for visiting, but if they do, mention that you are going to the restaurant or pub. The area can get busy (especially in summer) so please be on the lookout for muggles.
The Sunnyside Park Hotel was originally built in 1895 and is steeped in history. This four-star Victorian-style hotel was originally a stately home built during the “gold-rush” era that Johannesburg is famous for. It is a National Monument and Lord Milner used it as his base in 1901 (during the Anglo Boer War).
Please bring a pen or pencil as there is no writing instrument in the cache.
