Castle Ring is an Iron Age hill fort, situated high up on the southern edge of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, in the village of Cannock Wood, England. Castle Ring was thought to have been occupied around AD 50, by the Celtic Cornovii tribe. Apart from the perimeter earthworks, little remains visible.

From the car park go up the steps and right (north east)on the highest circle, to get good views of the Trent Valley; to the other steps near the highest point .

To go for the 5th, go down these steps from the 'ring' and return to and down the steep hill that you came up (Heart of England Way going NNW). Go straight on to the lowest point, passing (the 3rd Waypoint); a stream and lake. Go uphill and where the path levels out at a wide crossing of limestone paths
