Geocache Description:

There used to be a slogan "Don't leave home till you see the country", and with this in mind I put to you a challenge of finding a cache in each 'area' of the country.

For some of you finding a cache in each part of the country will be enough of a challenge for the rest of you I have made it more interesting. So take this cache to what ever level you want.

First question would be how do I know which area the cache I have found is in. Easy use the Geocaching.com Google map link at the bottom of the page it shows the dividing lines that I am using to define the areas for this challenge. Use the table below to work out your score. Bonus points for getting a cache on an island (that you can't walk to at low tide). Each type is worth a number get all the same double your total, for that column. Letterboxes are available in four areas get all four double the score and then add on what ever caches you found for the other areas. Count as many different types of caches in each area as long as you have atleast one in each area.

Caches Found

Traditional Multi Virtual Letterbox Event Unknown Earthcache
Bonus     NA NA
Southland       NA NA
Otago
Canterbury
West Coast     NA NA
Marlborough     NA NA     NA
Tasman         NA

Gisborne     NA NA NA NA
Waikato       NA
Bay of Plenty       NA

Northland       NA
Total

Points are as follows: Event = 1, Virtual = 2, Earthcache = 3, Traditional = 4, Letterbox = 5, Unknown = 6, Multi = 7

Next how do you prove you have completed the cache. List the GC codes when you log your find. If I have any questions I will e-mail you. Just need the GC codes for one for each area, but you can use one of each type in each area to get your grand score. List this in your log too. If I feel the challenge has not been completed I will delete the log.

So minium of 16 caches to be found from one end of the country to the other. The listing is the cache place I am trusting you to not log it until you have met the challenge.

First to Find prize is a regular size cache all ready to place with notebook, pen and trades. Yes this is a regular size cache with another one inside it for you to take (and place)

Congratulations sp8sm8 on being first to find and sign the logbook!

Congratulations geo-quax and Iceworm on being the first international visitors to complete and sign the logbook all withen 6 weeks of arriving on our shores.

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[If you intend hunting for this cache e-mail beforehand and I can provide a hint or a spoiler depending on what you want. The challenge is completing the tasks not finding the final cache. Also depending on temperture the cache may need two sets of hands to free it from its hiding hole. Good luck]
