Il Monte Falterona (m 1655) si trova all'interno del Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi.
Per raggiungere il posto consiglio di passare per Castagno D'Andrea, salire in auto per qualche chilometro e parcheggiare alle coordinate indicate (1150m slm), al confine del parco.Potete salire sia da est, passando per il M.Falco o da ovest quindi passando prima per il Borbotto...oppure da dove preferite :)
Mettete in conto almeno un paio d'ore per raggiungere la cache dal parcheggio, se non di più. Si tratta di sentieri di montagna ben segnati; consiglio comunque di fare attenzione in alcuni passaggi dove il sentiero, nel tratto tra monte Falco ed il Falterona passa a qualche metro da scarpate molto panoramiche ma anche molto verticali :)
Una volta arrivati in cima c'è abbondante spazio per mangiarsi un panino e godersi il panorama.
Il cache è ben nascosto ma non in modo impossibile e si trova a pochi passi dalla cima.
Dentro c'è il classico logbook e matita, niente trade items (per ora), la ricompensa è il panorama :)
The Monte Faterona (1655m amsl) is located inside the Foreste Casentinese National Park. To reach the place my suggestion is to pass Castagno D'Andrea, proceed with the car for some kilometer and then park at the coordinates below. In some days you can proceed further with the car, but it's not worth it.
You can proceed from east, passing by M. Falco, or from west, passing by Borbotto spring.
The walk will take at least a couple of hours to reach the cache from the parking. The path is well marked but pay attention: in some points (between M.Falco and M.Falterona) the path is not far from a cliff. Nothing really dangerous, but be careful anyway.
Once arrived on mountain top, there is plenty of space to eat a sandwich, look at the view and maybe to have a small nap.
The cache is quite well hidden not far from hte top. Inside: logbook and pen.
