La cache è piazzata nelle immediate vicinanze della cima del Monte Falterona, punto molto panoramico. La cache è un contenitore lock&lock di dimensioni modeste, contenente logbook e matita.
Il Monte Falco (m 1658) si trova all'interno del Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi; una volta giunti in cima potrete godere di un punto particolarmente panoramico. Per raggiungere il posto consiglio di passare per Castagno D'Andrea, salire in auto per qualche chilometro e parcheggiare alle coordinate indicate, al confine del parco. In alcuni periodi dell'anno è possibile salire con l'auto per qualche centinaio di metri ancora, ma non ne vale la pena. Il parcheggio è a 1150 m circa, per cui vi aspetta una salita di 500 metri, ma il percorso è ottimamente segnato da cartelli, segnavia e molto ben battuto. Attenzione, ci sono alcune zone in prossimità della cima, chiaramente delimitate, dove non è consentito entrare per non danneggiare terreno e piante; vi invito quindi a rispettare la flora indigena ed a tenere gli scarponi alla larga.
Una volta in zona raggiungere la cache è abbastanza semplice,si trova nelle vicinanze del sentiero e _non_ in zona vietata, quindi non andate dove non potete :)
Lo spoiler può essere utile: il gps mi dava una precisione di 5/6 m ma dato il terreno può darsi ci sia un po' da cercare...(quota 1647).
The cache is located near the top of Monte Falterona, a point that offers a very scenic view; it is a small lock&lock container, with logbook and pen.
The Monte Falco (1658m amsl) is located inside the Foreste Casentinese National Park; once arrived on the top you will enjoy a really scenic view. To reach the place my suggestion is to pass Castagno D'Andrea, proceed with the car for some kilometer and then park at the coordinates below. In some days you can proceed further with the car, but it's not worth it.
The parking is more or less at 1150m amsl, thus you will be facing a 500m climb, but the path is well marked. Be careful: close to the mountain top there are some areas where is forbidden to enter, to preserve wildlife and plants. These areas are well marked and I invite you to avoid to enter and step here. Once arrived in cache area, finding the cache is quite easy, it is located near the path and _not_ in forbidden areas.
The photo spoiler can be useful: the gps reported 5/6m error, but the terrain can be a bit difficult to search. (1647 m amsl)
