The breezy and shady location of this cache provides a dynamic vista for a packed lunch or snack. A leisurely one-half day walk for the cache provides a wonderful journey along the beach south of the Ngwe Saung beach resorts.
The water-tight 10 x 15 x 5 cm cache container contains a log book and a cache note. It is near the Mawdin stupa which is of special interest to the local fishing community. The stupa found near the point at the very south end of Silver beach. The easy ramble will allow you to make two river crossings, possibly see an army elephant patrol, enjoy a walk along a nearly deserted beach and stroll through two working fishing villages. If you are timely (slack tide beginning to flood), then the fishermen will be working their one-kilometer long seine nets along the beach. Perhaps they will let you help them haul in the catch!
