Geocache Description:

A multi-cache on the Thames Path.

For the most part the Thames Path is a fairly peaceful route, even in these more built up lower reaches. Unfortunately, at this point the M25 obtrudes.

The listed co-ordinates are not those of the cache but of the information board at Bell Weir lock.

The Thames Path follows the river for ABC miles.

The fourth Staines Bridge was opened in 180D.

The present Staines Bridge was opened in 1EFG.

Now walk towards the top lock gate. On the gate is a sign showing the river speed limit of H kilometres/hour.

Now walk to the other end of the lock. Just below the bottom gate is a depth gauge. What is the top number? This is J.

Continue walking towards the M25. Under the southbound carriageway bridge, how many PAIRS of supporting pillars do you walk between? This is K.

The cache is hidden at N51 G(B-2).ADH W000 F(K-3).EJC.

To help you plan your route, this multi-cache starts at Bell Weir lock and takes you eastward, past the Runnymede Hotel and under the huge M25 bridges. The cache itself is located near the river and before you reach the next cache in the "Thames Path" series.

Handicache rating H52122. There are some footbridges to cross. From the east there is a substantial depression in the towpath.

Summary: To avoid backtracking, find this cache when walking downstream.
