This cache was put in place to celebrate our Engagement which took place on 3/29/2007. The way it happened is below.
This cache is available only during daylight hours and is located on private property/business this is where we live and work. Parking is available in the driveway. Please be respectful if semi truck are making deliveries.
We went off to be the "First To Find" a geocache that Dale said a friend of his had put out on some private property.
Well, we went looking for it, me holding the GPS while Dale was driving, me trying to tell him which way would be the best for him to get there.....
We finally pulled into this driveway. It lead to a house set a good piece back off the street. I couldn't believe that the owners would let anyone put a cache back behind their house!!! I kept telling Dale that I would have been upset if someone put someting that close to my house. But off we went, looking for a cache. Well, we go back into the woods about 400 ft. There was a really big (I mean HUGE) hollowed out stump, and I went one way around it, and Dale went the other (as usual when we're out caching together) I finally spotted this huge rubbermaid tub in the middle of this stump! I hollered at Dale and told him i'd found it.....it said "Geocache, The ?" on it....They all have names, and I didn't think anything about it, so I popped open the top and shouted, hey! THere's bears in here!!!! which i thought was a lil strange, cuz they were 2 big stuffed bears! Then I looked at the bears......One was dressed like a cowgirl, the other like a fire man......(For thoose of you that know us, i'm a cowgirl at heart, and Dales an EMT/Firefighter for a local station.) I exclaimed....hey, its a cowgirl! then i saw the firefighter bear and looked up at Dale.....He said i had this awed/confused look on my face.....that's when he got down on one knee and said "Brandi M..., will you merry me?" and pulled out the ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I of course said yes! The ring fit perfectly! it was AMAZING..... I of course was really teary and had to have had the biggest goofiest grin on my face! That's when he said to push the bears paws.....the cowgirl says, "if you'll be my cowgirl" and the fireman says, "then I'll be your fireman".....It was SOOOO cute......
